Paint Protection
XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS, a virtually invisible urethane film. It protects your vehicle’s paint from unsightly damage and maximizes re-sale value. Some of its features include Self Healing, Stain Resistance and Superior Optical Clarity.
What is Paint Protection Film and why do I need it?
Paint protection film, or “clear bra” as it is sometimes known, is one of the best ways to preserve the showroom quality finish on your vehicle. The tough, durable, virtually invisible urethane film will keep your vehicle looking newer longer without changing the design features or color, by creating a barrier and protecting vulnerable areas. Preserving the finish of your vehicle with paint protection film (PPF) keeps your vehicle looking new and can also enhance the resale value of your vehicle in the future.
It’s main purpose is to prevent rock chips with its self-healing feature. The urethane clear film is highly resistant to acidic contaminants and corrosion, providing protection against bug splatter, bird droppings, mineral deposits, acid rain, and more. The unique material also helps it to reduce oxidation due to excessive exposure to the sun or UV light.
What is the expected life of XPEL ULTIMATE PLUS?
Our paint protection films are warrantied for 10 years. The warranty is pretty self-explanatory it covers: yellowing, staining, delaminating, cracking, peeling, bubbling, or anything in the films default. It does not however cover if the film is breached, scratched, or dented. The film at that point has done its job to protect your paint. Any accidents that might occur could possibly be covered through insurance. Warranty card available upon purchase.
Can I see a line where the film stops?
A slight line is barely visible depending on coverage at certain angles where the protection film stops. Most packages contain full panels which are wrapped, making the film seamless. The film is transparent/invisible.
What is the process to maintain PPF?
Paint protection film does not require any special maintenance. However, if the film is treated twice a year, it will last longer and will be easier to clean. For best results, we recommend using our XPEL Flawless Finish Paint Protection Film Sealant. This product has been specially formulated for use with polyurethane paint protection films to provide the maximum protection and gloss, while containing no ingredients that would cause discoloration over time. To achieve best results, ask us about what to use and we’ll be more than happy to assist!
What if I go through a car wash, or have the car waxed?
You can do anything to the material that you normally do to a car’s finish. Frequent washing and waxing will only prolong and enhance the beauty of the product. Yes, the material will accept wax and polishes just as the paint does and will last longer with regular applications. While you can wax the film, be sure the product you are using doesn’t contain Naphtha or Kerosene in concentrations over 5%, and avoid waxes that contain dyes.
What if I encounter wax build-up around the edges?
Use a soft, damp cloth, Q-tip, or soft brush to remove any wax build-up that may occur around the paint protection film. Alcohol solution is a great way to release any impurities. Contact us if you would like guidance on products to use for cleaning!
Will the paint fade differently under the paint protection film than the rest of the car?
No. The protective film’s material contains UV inhibitors to prevent the protective film from reacting to the sun’s rays, but still allows a certain amount to filter through the material and onto the surface to let the paint “age” with the rest of the vehicle.
Will it really stop rocks from chipping the car?
Yes. The material was originally designed to stop chips on rotor blades and airplane propellers. It is much easier for the product to protect your vehicle’s paint than a propeller moving at nearly the speed of sound. We’ve got you covered! When you hit the road, make sure it doesn’t hit back.
What should I consider when installing film on repainted surfaces?
Repainted surfaces can be a touchy subject as it is not as durable as the factory finish. Factory finishes are baked onto the surface at 350+ degrees which allows a much harder surface and better cohesion bond. Repainted surfaces can be baked only at 150 degrees to prevent damage to the vehicles components and therefore the surface can be more susceptible to lifting, however, if it is a quality job then the burden of concern should not be so much. Book a consultation with us to make sure we are able to apply film with no hassle.
Can I apply ceramic coating on top of paint protection?
Yes, coatings can be applied to the film. Adding a coating does not stop the film from self-healing. Coatings can add a protective layer over the film, we use XPEL FUSION PLUS that is meant to adhere paint protection film. It will also help keep the film clean and free from contaminants, which will lengthen the life of the film. Together the two products will preserve your car’s paint over the long-term, and enhance its appearance on a day-to-day basis.

What are the benefits of window film?

What is the warranty period for your window film?
We offer a transferable lifetime warranty on both HP (standard) and XR (nano ceramic) series. The warranty is transferable and will continue with the car even in the event the ownership change.
What do the different levels/percentages of film mean?
Film percentages stand for light transmission, or the amount of light that is allowed through the film. The lower the percentage, the darker the film. We offer 70%, 50%, 35%, 20%, 15%, and 5%. Come take a look at any of our location’s displays including a heat lamp and percentages!
Should I get my full front windshield tinted?
The answer is a definite yes. The front windshield at its angle is your main heat source. There’s no real question as to if whether or not you should protect yourself from the sun. For all the good it does to provide warmth and vitamin D, it also causes some severe reactions, and when you’re spending thousands of minutes in your car every year, it can seem like you’re at the mercy of the sun’s harmful UV rays. So, protecting yourself by layering your windows and windshield with a film is kind of a no-brainer.
Because the windshield is the way you see most of what’s going on around you when driving, it’s essential that any windshield treatment doesn’t interfere with your ability to see obstacles, signs, and other vehicles—especially at night. We offer a very light film for the best heat/uv coverage but also very transparent for driving. Reduce sun glare during the day and high beams during the night.

How long will it take to Tint my car?
Once your appointment has been scheduled, most installations can be done in the same day. Book today!
How long after I get my windows done should I keep them rolled up?
We recommend keeping your windows up for at least 2-3 days to allow the window film to cure. If windows are rolled down before that time frame, you can damage the film before the end of its curing process. Should this happen we can redo your window at a low cost, but it is not covered under the warranty. We also include bright colored “DO NOT ROLL DOWN” stickers to all tinted windows. All things to know about window tint will be discussed upon picking up your vehicle.
If my window film is damaged, can it be fixed?
Damaged window film cannot be repaired (bubbles, scratches, nicks, etc.) but the damaged piece of film can be removed, and the glass can be retinted. Call, text, or email us for a crash course on removing or to book a professional to remove the film for you.
I just had my windows tinted, why do they look hazy?
The moisture that remains between the film and the glass after installation can cause a hazy, streaky, blotchy appearance. It takes several days for the adhesive/film to completely cure. The remaining moisture will evaporate through the film; this process may take a couple of days, or even a couple of weeks. When the water evaporates completely, your windows should have excellent clarity. All things to know about window tint will be discussed upon picking up your vehicle.
